Part II: The Reckoning
How loss and grief brought me here
Since I was 20, I started to collect stories from travellers who had walked away from their jobs and “traditional” paths to see the world. I spent years wondering if and when I’d ever have the courage to do the same. This is the story of how a series of losses and grief eventually cleared the path for me.

I know grief is often disccused as an emotion experienced after the death of a loved one. And I will talk about that here, too. But first, I also believe that a deep grief can follow the loss of anything that erases a version of ourselves we once loved like a relationship, a dream, a sense of certainty, or a way of life.
